Taqueria Cruz is Maui's best option for Mexican cuisine. With a delicious, affordable menu, live music entertainment, outdoor seating, friendly service, and BYOB options, it's easily one of the best locations for eating out in South Maui. Located conveniently across from Kamaole Beach Park I, we recommend heading here for a low-key, relaxed meal with friends and family.
If you love their food, please contribute to Taqueria Cruz's owner Jorge Velez GoFundMe campaign to raise money for his memorial and children's education. He will be missed more than words can express.
Taqueria Cruz serves up a variety of authentic Mexican dishes, including tacos, combo plates, burritos, quesadillas, flautas, taquitos, nachos, tostadas, enchiladas, chimichangas, taco salad, queso, guacamole and more. We love their taco combo plates with rice and beans, and love the addition of several hot sauce options as well as complimentary salsa. For vegetarians, the poblano raja is the perfect option. Don't skimp on sides like jalapeño aioli, chipotle aioli, and chips and guacamole, which are an amazing addition to any entree! Support local restaurants on Maui!
Perhaps one of the best perks of dining at Taqueria Cruz? It's BYOB! Grab your favorite Mexican beer, or pack essentials to make your own margaritas, and enjoy drinking whatever you'd like with absolutely no corkage fee.
Seating at Taqueria Cruz is located outdoors in a shaded, shared courtyard space. Come early to grab a seat on Taco Tuesdays, when residents and visitors head here to enjoy $1 off on all tacos and live music entertainment from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Low-key dining at its finest.
Taqueria Cruz is located in the back of the Dolphin Plaza across from Kamaole Beach Park I. When driving on South Kihei Road, look for the Pizza Hut and Maui Gelato on the mauka (inland, toward Haleakala) side of the road. Ample lot parking is available.

Ke'anae Taro House by @tourmaui - The Ke’anae Peninsula was created from an immense lava flow originating from #HaleakalaCrater. Centuries ago Hawaiians brought soil down, by hand, from the mountains to create the #KeanaePeninsula. Their amazing display of physical labor is a testament to how revered this land is in Hawaiian culture. #maui #hawaii
