A Case of the Flying Travelers

Alright, so Maui doesn’t actually have a case of the flying travelers, but we do have a radical, centrally-located zipline that is perfect for visitors looking to zip-a-dee-doo-dah (brah?) their way through paradise.

There’s nothing quite like exploring the tropical island of your dreams alongside grumpy toddlers, a hungry grandpa, and a bored teenager. Family fun at its finest, right?

Luckily, there’s a solution to appease every member of your group, and it’s located right in the heart of Maui, only a short drive from popular areas like Wailuku, Kahului, Paia, Ma’alaea, Kihei, and Lahaina.

Take a quick drive to the lovely Maui Tropical Plantation in Waikapu and book a ziplining tour with Maui Zipline, a 5-line tour over the tropical property, including Kumu Farms, palm trees, sparkling lagoon, and more, all with a view of the West Maui Mountains, distant Haleakala Volcano, and Maui shoreline.

Tours begin with a walk along the trail to an observation deck, where you’ll be treated to scenic views and a briefing about the zipline tour by your experienced guide. You’ll also learn about Maui’s natural flora and fauna, as well as fascinating cultural information.

Each of the 5 lines are side-by-side, allowing you to zipline next to others in your group. They’ve previously had guests from 5 to 88 years of age, making it ideal for the keiki all the way to grandma.

After ending the tour in the property treehouse, all guests are welcome to explore the remainder of the Plantation property, which includes the delicious Cafe O’Lei Restaurant, tropical tram tour, several local shops, Kumu Farms fruit and produce stand, landscaped gardens, and more.
