Summertime, and the livin’s easy here on The Valley Isle. June is usually one of our favorite months on Maui, thanks to awesome weather, tons of concerts, and fun community events. Enjoy!

June 1 

White Hawaiian: Eric Gilliom’s side-splitting ‘White Hawaiian’ returns to the Pro Arts Playhouse. A one-man musical extravaganza blending hilarious storytelling and Gilliom’s local roots. 3:00 pm, Pro Arts Playhouse.

June 5 

Tommy Emmanuel: Guitar legend Tommy Emmanuel C.G.P. brings his jaw-dropping, one-man band sound to the MACC. Bring a canned good for Maui Food Bank. Additional show on June 6. 7:30 pm, MACC.

June 6

The White Party: Maui’s ultimate summer kickoff lights up the night with DJs, a breakdance cypher, and prizes for best dressed. Wear white, bring your crew, and dance ‘til late. 21+. 9:00 pm, Da Playground Maui.

Kapalua Concert Series featuring Jason Arcilla: Enjoy a free evening of “reggae and blues” with Maui’s own Jason Arcilla, fresh off The Voice, at the Kapalua Concert Series. Food and drinks available for purchase. 6:00–9:00 pm, Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua.

June 7 

Zenshin Daiko 26th Annual Taiko Festival: Join Zenshin Daiko for the 26th annual Taiko Festival. Enjoy an unforgettable night of powerful drumming, lion dancing, and performances. 7:00 pm, MACC. 

 

Emo Kids Live – National Tour: Scream, dance, and cry your eyeliner off at EMO KIDS LIVE – a throwback night of live music and early 2000s anthems from Paramore to MCR. All the feels. 21+. 7:00 pm, Da Playground Maui.

Valley Isle Steel Pan Band: Take a musical trip to Trinidad and Tobago with the Valley Isle Steel Pan Band – featuring lively rhythms, island vibes, and twists on familiar tunes. 7:30 pm, Pro Arts Playhouse.

June 8

Living Legends: Living Legends comes to da Playground Maui with raw lyricism and timeless West Coast energy, joined by Reverie, Pure Powers, and local duo JahSun & Skeptic. 7:00 pm, Da Playground Maui. 21+

World Ocean Day: Celebrate World Ocean Day at Maui Ocean Center with coral feeding, shark tooth digs, art activities, and marine talks for all ages. 10:00 am–3:00 pm, Maui Ocean Center.

June 13 

John Cruz Songs and Stories Tour: Experience John Cruz’s Songs & Stories Tour live at the MACC — soulful Hawaiian roots blended with folk, blues, and Americana. Bring donations for the Maui Food Bank and enter to win a meet & greet! 7:30 pm, MACC.

Halfway to Halloween Party: Dress up in your wildest spooky costumes, sip creepy cocktails, and dance the night away. Whether you’re a ghoul, witch, or zombie cowboy, come ready to have fun. 21+. 9:00 pm, da Playground. 

June 14 

The Green: The Green brings their island reggae vibes to Maui on June 14, joined by L.A.B., Hapa Boy, Johnny Suite, and Chante. Enjoy a soulful night of music and connection. 5:30 pm, MACC.

Pride Festival After Party: Keep the Pride energy alive with live DJs, dazzling drag shows, and nonstop dancing at da Playground Maui. 21+.  8:00 pm, da Playground Maui.

Desert Hollow: Desert Hollow brings a refreshing blend of old-timey country folk, soulful blood harmonies, and knee-slapping hoedowns. 7:30 pm, ProArts Playhouse.

June 19 

Justin Kawika Young: Justin Kawika Young, Hawai‘i-born singer-songwriter, blends island roots with Nashville country vibes. Known for hits and collaborations with Colbie Caillat, he’s a rising star in both Hawaiian and country music scenes. 7:30 pm, MACC

June 20 

Maui Songwriters Festival Summer Series featuring Randy Rogers: Enjoy an intimate evening with Randy Rogers, Texas-born singer-songwriter known for rootsy country anthems. Special guest Matt Del Olmo opens. 6:00 pm, Ritz-Carlton Maui. 

June 21

Na Kamehameha Commemorative Pau Parade & Hoolauea: Celebrate Hawaiian culture and heritage at the 2025 Nā Kamehameha Commemorative Pā‘ū Parade and Ho‘olaule‘a, honoring Mary Kawena Pukui. Parade starts at Maui Lani Parkway, followed by festivities at Queen Ka‘ahumanu Center. 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. 

June 22

West Maui Stargazing Event: Explore the night sky with expert-guided stargazing using a high-powered telescope and laser constellation tracing. Bring your own drinks and enjoy panoramic West Maui views. 8:00 PM, 700 Punakea Loop, Lahaina.

June 26

Dirty Cello: Experience the wild, electric energy of Dirty Cello, blending rock, funk, and fierce rhythms in a one-of-a-kind show. 7:30 PM, ProArts Playhouse.

June 27 

Coral Spawning Night: Witness the magic of coral spawning during Maui Ocean Center’s annual Coral Spawning Night, featuring diver presentations and interactive coral feeding stations. 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Maui Ocean Center.

Lei Po‘o Workshop: Craft your own traditional lei po‘o in this hands-on workshop using local flowers and foliage. Learn the elegant wili-style lei-making with expert guidance. BYOB welcome. 2:30 PM–5:30 PM, 700 Punakea Loop, Lahaina.

June 28 

Free Range Comedy Special 10th Anniversary Show: Free Range Comedy celebrates 10 years with a special 90-minute improv show full of quick wit and laughs. Don’t miss this hilarious “Who’s Line Is It Anyway?” style performance. 7:30 PM, ProArts Playhouse.

Nashville Nights Featuring Thompson Square: Enjoy an intimate night of soulful country music by platinum duo Thompson Square with Southern-inspired food and oceanfront views. Family-friendly and all ages welcome. 7:00 pm, Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa

June 29

Maui Improv: Laugh along with Maui Improv’s spontaneous and fun-filled performances, featuring local talent and special guests. 7:00 pm, ProArts Playhouse

Ki-hoalu 2025 Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Festival – Maui Style: Celebrate the 34th Annual Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Festival with premier local artists and rich cultural traditions. Free and open to all. 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Maui Arts & Cultural Center

 


Weekly Events

Mondays

Lei Po’o Making: The Shops of Wailea invites guests to learn how to weave ti leaf leis using ferns and flowers. Lei Poʻo can be worn on the head and was typically used as a gift on special occasions by Aliʻi (Hawaiian Royalty). This event is open to both keiki and adults and runs from 2:30 to 3:30 pm.

Tuesdays

Polynesian Show at The Shops: This weekly show will highlight Hawaiian hula as well as other dances of Polynesia. The performance will take place at the Shops of Wailea from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.

Coconut Husking at The Shops: From 2:30 to 3:30 pm weekly, the Shops of Wailea will be hosting demonstrations of the traditional and modern methods in husking a coconut. Learn how the Hawaiians would use every part of the coconut from food to crafting eating utensils, jewelry as well as furniture.

Wednesdays

Slack Key Guitar Show: The Masters of Hawaiian Music Slack Key Show is open for live shows once again. The Slack Key Show ohana will perform each week at 6:30 pm at the Napili Kai Beach Resort. Tickets are required for entry, this show is also streamed online.

Thursdays

Polynesian Show at the Shops: This weekly show will highlight Hawaiian hula as well as other dances of Polynesia. The performance will take place at the Shops of Wailea from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.

Coconut Frond Weaving at the Shops: The Shops of Wailea invites guests to try their hand at the highly developed Hawaiian skill of weaving. Coconut frond weaving was used to make baskets, mats, and even toys. This event runs weekly from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

Fridays

Papa Hula at the Shops: Hosted at the Shops of Wailea, Papa Hula is a celebration of the Hawaiian way of life. Enjoy a complimentary dance lesson, complete with costumes and accessories, and the dance movements and their meanings. This interactive performance runs from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Saturdays

Upcountry Farmers Market: Shop some of the best local souvenirs on the island, indulge in delicious food, and support local farmers at one of Maui’s biggest weekly events. Don’t forget to set your morning alarm, as this market favors the early shopper. The Upcountry Farmers Market runs from 7:00 to 11:00 am every Saturday at the Kulamalu Town Center in Pukalani.

Sundays

Maui Sunday Market: Featuring some of Maui’s most renowned food trucks, local vendors, and quality entertainment, the Maui Sunday Market is one of the island’s most popular weekly events. Centrally located at the Kahului Shopping Center, the Maui Sunday Market draws locals and visitors from all corners of the island. The event runs every Sunday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
