Last week there were waves in Wailea… Real waves! This is rare, especially in the winter time. The south side doesn’t get much swell ever due to island blocking, and certainly not at this time of year. Turns out a really big North swell lit up spots all along the south and west after bombing the north. And the island rejoiced!
This photo is of Wailea Beach from the Four Seasons. The waves were large but not really all that smooth. A few guys were surfing, but the body surfers were having more fun.
