The Maui Cleanse

Maui cleanse

Today I start a cleanse with my wife.  I call it “The Maui Cleanse.”  It’s unlike most other cleanses where you have to drink maple/lemon/and whatever else there is.  That may come later.  No, instead we begin with phase 1 , which is what we consider living healthily for 1 week.  At the end of the week, we’ll reevaluate and begin the 2nd phase.  It goes like this:

Phase 1

  • Eliminate:
    • Processed sugars
    • Processed food
    • Gulten
    • Caffeine
    • Alcohol
    • Red meat
  • Append Daily:
    • Exercise (Surf or Weights)
    • Inversion therapy
    • Trampoline
    • Stretching
    • At least 8 glasses of water
    • 8 hours of sleep

Phase 2

  • Reevaluate
  • Consider doing a juice/fiber cleanse

Wish us luck!  Gonna be really HARD to do.

  • Update: We did! Except for the coffee. That was something we couldn’t stop having in the morning. We learned some great recipes for eating vegan that we’ll share soon. ALOHA!
