Maui Coast Hotel is in south Maui in south Kihei, walking distance from Kamaole beach Park 1. The Plantation Inn is located in west Maui, in the heart of Lahaina Town. We haven’t stayed at either one, so you’ll have to look at reviews on Yelp or Tripadvisor. But, a mojor consideration is what side of the island you would prefer. In our opinion, Kihei has nicer, closer beaches, but Lahaina has more restaurants and shopping in walking distance.
