We are proud to introduce our new business, Island Art Party, to Maui visitors. We are what’s known as a ‘Paint and Sip’ studio where both adults and families can come to paint a Maui souvenir, have a drink, listen to great music, make some friends, and above all, have a fun time!
Your first reaction might be, “I can’t paint, I can barely draw stick figures!” Put those thoughts to rest as ANYONE can do it. We have expert instructors we call ‘partistas’ that will lead you through one of our featured paintings with simple, step-by-step instructions that anyone can follow. For our adult visitors, a glass of wine or cocktail helps to get the creative juices flowing, and our great music and friendly atmosphere make it an event you won’t soon forget. You’ll create a beautiful souvenir of your trip to Maui that will bring you enjoyment for years to come.
What’s a typical session look like? After checking in, you grab an apron, get some popcorn, grab a drink, put paint on your palette, sit down in front of your canvas, pick up your paintbrush and you’re ready to go. Our partista begins with the instructions and your first paint hits the canvas. Great background music fills the air, and it’s not uncommon for some singing to break out. Our partistas roam through the crowd, offering tips and suggestions so you can always get help if you need it. Two-and-a-half hours later, you’re finished, and if you’re like most people, you’ve probably surprised yourself by creating a beautiful painting that you never believed was possible.
We take a couple of breaks during the session to let the paint dry, and during these times you can visit with friends, check out our wonderful gift shop, grab another drink, and admire the progress you’ve made on your new painting.
We have been fortunate to be rated as one of the top indoor activities in all of Maui on TripAdvisor. You can’t spend every minute in the sun, so this is a relaxing, air-conditioned activity for an afternoon or evening. Here’s a couple quotes from our reviews:

While our evening art parties are for a more adult crowd (ages 16 and up), our morning and afternoon sessions are for ages 8 and up. This makes for a perfect family activity. We host birthday parties, wedding parties, family reunions, and any gathering where it’s important to have a fun time.
