Spring has almost sprung here on The Valley Isle! Whether you head to a rockin’ concert, peruse some of the best local markets, or simply enjoy a beach day in the height of whale season, there are a handful of things to keep you busy while on Maui this month.

Live music is still happening around the island, with local musicians jamming almost every night at some of the island’s best restaurants. Check out Manaʻo Radio’s Music2Nite site for a full lineup of Live Music on Maui.

What’s Happening On Maui March 2026?

March 1 

Maui 5K: Race to support Maui schools! The Maui 5k was created in 2011 to help schools within Maui County. Proceeds and donations from the race go back to the schools participating in the event. The course starts and ends at the Maui Ocean Center in Maalaea. 

Eli-Mac: Maui’s own Eli-Mac is heading to da Playground Maalaea for an epic night of reggae hip-hop grooves. The American Idol star turned reggae icon is known for her smooth vocals and unique style. Don’t miss her at da Playground! 7:00 pm, 21+.

March 4

Wailea Wednesdays – Nevah Too Late: Nevah Too Late is a Maui band formed by three local boys that brings together the sound of fingerstyle guitar, ukulele, and bass. They have a repertoire of over 1000 songs including Hawaiian and local contemporary jams. Catch them for FREE at The Shops at Wailea. 4:30-6:00 pm. 

March 6

Shane Kahalehau “Ua Hookoia” Album Release: From his first Hawaiian Na Hoku Hanohano award winning Album, Kaonohiokala, to his newest album, Ua Ho’oko’ia, Shane Kahalehau goes back to his Hawaiian roots and reminds Hawaii and the world of where he comes from—sharing it all with aloha. Pro Arts Playhouse, 6:00-9:00 pm. 

Iliza Live!: Iliza Shlesinger has cemented herself as one of the world’s premier stand-up comedians. In March 2025, Shlesinger released her 7th special, Iliza Shlesinger: A Different Animal, globally on Amazon Prime Video. An explosive and relentlessly funny hour, Iliza covers everything from ugly wives and the ideal man to the truth about the ONE thing no woman wants as nothing is off limits. Don’t miss her at the MACC! 7:30 pm. 

March 7 

Makana: Lei Kukui: Summoning his broad influences and kumu lineage, Makana weaves an intimate evening of uplifting and diverse song, stringing together mele and moʻolelo with newly-invented and handed-down slack key tunings, styles and untold stories. Rooted in all things Hawaiian yet ripe with cultural diversity, this rare performance draws from his beloved classics as well as unheard, unreleased repertoire. Join Makana for a night of music to kindle the flames of culture, resilience, and a path forward. Maui Arts and Cultural Center, 7:30 pm. 

Island Soul Sessions with Pohai and Stephen Henderson: Brother and sister duo Stephen Henderson and Pohai bring their voices together in a rare, intimate performance filled with original songs, soul, and family harmony as native Hawaiian artists from Hana, Maui. Pro Arts Playhouse, 7:30 pm. 

March 8 

An Evening with Anthony Pfluke and Friends: Head to Kihei’s Pro Arts Playhouse for an intimate evening of music, and original music featuring Tarvin Makia on the bass, Ethan Villanueva on guitar and percussion, and Anthony Pfluke on ʻukulele, kīhōʻalu, and grand piano! A trio you don’t want to miss. Pro Arts Playhouse, 7:00 pm.

March 13 

RENT – Opening Night: Set in the East Village of New York City, RENT is about falling in love, finding your voice, and living for today. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, RENT has become a pop culture phenomenon, with songs that rock and a story that resonates with audiences of all ages. Runs until April 5. Pro Arts Playhouse. 

March 15 

Maui Pops Orchestra – Hawaiian Soul: Don’t miss an unforgettable afternoon as three-time Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award–winning singer-songwriter Paula Fuga, hailed as the voice of modern Hawaiian soul, graces the stage alongside the Maui Pops Orchestra. Exquisite vocals, powerful lyrics, and gorgeous melodies have earned Paula Fuga widespread critical praise and made her one of the most sought-after live performers in Hawai‘i. Maui Arts and Cultural Center, 3:00 pm.

March 18 

Iron & Wine: For over 20 years, Iron & Wine has captured the emotion and imagination of listeners with distinctly cinematic songs. His recorded output includes seven full-length studio records, collaborations with Calexico, Ben Bridwell (Band of Horses), and Jesca Hoop, countless EP’s, singles, and compilation/soundtrack appearances, a live concert documentary, and five GRAMMY nominations. Maui Arts and Cultural Center, 7:30 pm. 

March 21

The Allman Betts Band: Lucky Sevens Tour: The Allman Betts Band is known for their classic blend of throwback rock, soul, blues, country, jazz and jams. The show takes listeners through the band’s two BMG records, “Down to the River” and “Bless Your Heart.” Fans of Allman Brothers Music will get a fair share of the classic songs with an evening filled with the familiar sound that is part of their family’s legacy. Maui Arts and Cultural Center, 7:30 pm. 

March 22

Magic in Paradise: Prepare to be dazzled by world-class entertainer and expert in sleight-of-hand magic, Maui’s own David Kuraya. David is one of six elite magicians–and the only magician from Maui–who performed regularly at the renowned Warren & Annabelle’s Magic Nightclub in Lahaina before the fires. At each show, he donates parts of his proceeds to local charities. Pro Arts Playhouse, 7:00 pm.

Wailea Wednesdays – Rama Camarillo: Rama Camarillo is an Ukulele teacher at Kamehameha Schools Maui, and also just released his solo album last year. He has performed on Maui for many years, and enjoys listening to his son’s music who are both Na Hoku Hanohano Award winners. Catch his free concert at The Shops at Wailea. 4:00-6:00 pm. 

John Cruz – Island Style Series: John Cruz built his career telling stories through songs about everyday people and experiences, celebrating the ties that bind us. Today, he’s one of the most valued artists in Hawaii. At ProArts Maui, every attendee gets to fully tap into Cruz’s talent and spirit and embrace the power of love, compassion and common ground. 7:00 pm

Anjelah Johnson-Reyes: Anjelah Johnson-Reyes is one of the most successful stand-up comedians today, with six comedy specials streaming on various platforms and selling out theaters across the world. March 28 

Ho’omau 2025: Now in its 38th year, Ho’omau is the annual benefit for Punana O Leo, Maui’s Hawaiian immersion school. Enjoy live music, cultural demonstrations, local vendors and more. Purchase tickets in advance. Maui Nui Botanical Gardens, 9 am to sunset.

The Great Whale Count: Part of the Maui Whale Festival, the Great Whale Count brings volunteers together across the island to count whales. The Count is part of a long-term survey cataloging humpback whale behavior in the islands, and is one of the longest running citizen science projects on the planet!

Weekly Events

Mondays

Lei Poʻo Making: The Shops of Wailea invites guests to learn how to weave ti leaf leis using ferns and flowers. Lei Po’o can be worn on the head and was typically used as a gift on special occasions by Ali’i (Hawaiian Royalty). This event is open to both keiki and adults and runs from 2:30 to 3:30 pm.

Champagne Hale at the Cliff House: Maui’s finest champagne pairing is back! Enjoy champagne cocktails and a variety of champagnes paired with an innovative dining menu in a spectacular sunset setting— the Kapalua Cliff House. Advanced registration required. Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays.

Tuesdays

Tuesday Trivia at Mahalo Aleworks: Head to Upcountry’s only brewery to test your trivia skills. Be sure to make it by 5:45 pm to register, trivia kicks off at 6 pm. Teams can be no larger than four. The winning team is awarded a $50 brewery gift card!

Polynesian Show at The Shops: This weekly show will highlight Hawaiian hula as well as other dances of Polynesia. The performance will take place at the Shops of Wailea from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.

Coconut Husking at The Shops: From 2:30 to 3:30 pm weekly, the Shops of Wailea will be hosting demonstrations of the traditional and modern methods of husking a coconut. Learn how the Hawaiians would use every part of the coconut from food to crafting eating utensils, jewelry as well as furniture.

Wednesdays 

Slack Key Guitar Show: The Masters of Hawaiian Music Slack Key Show is open for live shows once again. The Slack Key Show ohana will perform each week at 6:30 pm at the Napili Kai Beach Resort. Tickets are required for entry, this show is also streamed online.

Thursdays

Polynesian Show at the Shops: This weekly show will highlight Hawaiian hula as well as other dances of Polynesia. The performance will take place at the Shops of Wailea from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.

Coconut Frond Weaving at the Shops: The Shops of Wailea invites guests to try their hand at the highly developed Hawaiian skill of weaving. Coconut frond weaving was used to make baskets, mats, and even toys. This event runs weekly from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

Fridays

Papa Hula at the Shops: Hosted at the Shops of Wailea, Papa Hula is a celebration of the Hawaiian way of life. Enjoy a complimentary dance lesson, complete with costumes and accessories, and the dance movements and their meanings. This interactive performance runs from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Saturdays

Upcountry Farmers Market: Shop some of the best local souvenirs on the island, indulge in delicious food, and support local farmers at one of Maui’s biggest weekly events. Don’t forget to set your morning alarm, as this market favors the early shopper. The Upcountry Farmers Market runs from 7:00 to 11:00 am every Saturday at the Kulamalu Town Center in Pukalani.

Sundays

Maui Gift and Craft Fair: Stop by the Lahaina Gateway Center and browse West Maui’s largest gift and craft fair. This weekly event hosts over 50 vendors, showcasing jewelry, photography, art, crafts, keiki activities, and more. Maui Gift and Craft Fair runs from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm every Sunday.

Maui Sunday Market: Featuring some of Maui’s most renowned food trucks, local vendors, and quality entertainment, the Maui Sunday Market is one of the island’s most popular weekly events. Centrally located at the Kahului Shopping Center, the Maui Sunday Market draws locals and visitors from all corners of the island. The event runs every Sunday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

  1. We visited Maui 2 times aporox. 6 and 7 years ago. It was nice and calm. The only problem is the prices were priced out of the set. 510.00 a night at a hotel was just ridiculous. food prices were high unless you looked good. Hopefully they don’t get back to those prices. Or 19.00 for a drink. We find florida is much more reasonably priced and yes directly on the gulf. food prices are much more reasonable. Have been to all beaches pacific and Atlantic side. After a while a beach is a beach.
