Maui Surfboard Rentals
Delivery, Selection, Rates, & Gear
To your door
For years, the only way for visiting surfers to enjoy our waves required trips to surf shops or by lugging heavy boards on the plane. We're happy to see a broad selection, good rates, and free delivery and pick-up from Island Surfboard Rentals. Within minutes of visiting their site, you can select and reserve the right board for you. Or call them with more indepth questions at (808) 281-9835.
Island Surfboard Rentals carry boards for every level of surfer, from performance shortboards to inflatable Stand Up boards. We like that they offer fitness and racing boards too, considering Maui has great locations for downwinders as well as calm areas for working out. For those not ready to fully stand up, they also have bodyboards.
Board Rental Rates
Because they don't have a brick and mortar shop, they can afford to offer boards at really low prices. Their daily pricing structure becomes cheaper the longer you rent. At the time of this article (April 20th, 2017), shortboards are going for as low as $17/day, longboards as low as $24/day, and SUPs as low as $25/day. With free delivery, that's a pretty good deal. AND, they're currently running a promotion offering a 3rd board at 50% off.
Of course, if you're reserving a stand up paddleboard, you're going to need a paddle, which can be upgraded to a carbon fiber paddle. You can also get snorkel gear and GoPros to document your fun.our appreciation for the natural wonders we have surrounding us.
We've been looking for a good rental company to recommend for years. Give them a call at (808) 281-9835 or visit Island Surfboard Rentals for current rates and this week's Maui surf report. Happy surfing!

Happy #alohafriday! Video by @epiclava_ - a quick note: we get 20-30 messages every week about whether or not it’s safe on #maui. Yes SAFE. the #lavaflow is in a concentrated area on the south east side of the #bigisland of #Hawaii. Maui is FAR away from it. I’m not even noticing more vog. Pretty safe from #lava over here.
