Your Guide to Maui Scuba Diving

Scuba diving is one of the best ways to experience the vast underwater life that makes Hawaii so unique. In fact, 25% of all fish found in Hawaiian waters are found nowhere else on Earth. We encourage all visitors to Maui to give scuba diving a try, or if you’re already certified, extend your knowledge and experience with a dive at some of Maui’s most unique dive sights. Maui Scuba Mike has you covered.

Master Diver Experience

Scuba Mike, a Master Scuba Diver Trainer and instructor on Maui for over 30 years, is the best in the business when it comes to showing you and your family or friends a great time underwater. With his vast knowledge of the ocean, including other accolades such as ski instructor, windsurfing master instructor, sailing instructor, and U.S. Coast Guard licensed captain, it’s no wonder that Mike has a perfect safety record among guests.

Wide Range of Dive Experiences

Choose from a wide range of services, including Scuba Diving Lessons, PADI Certification, Scooter Dives, Night Dives, and Specialty Dives, and enjoy an intimate group of 5 people or fewer per instructor during all lessons. Mike only uses top-of-the-line equipment and offers a wide range of dive sites across all areas of the island, recommended based on the specific conditions for the day of your dive.

PADI Certifications include Basic Certification, Discover Scuba Diving, Open Water Certification, Advanced Open Water Certification, Rescue Diver, and Dive Master Courses.

Ocean Life

Guests can expect to see underwater life such as Hawaiian green sea turtles, octopus, anglerfish, conger eels, and parrotfish, among others, and depending on the dive site, may even enjoy views of underwater lava tubes, caverns, and at lower depths, rare black coral.

Advanced Dives

For advanced divers, Mike recommends a Maui Scooter Dive, which allows you to travel up to 4x as fast and 8x further than normal underwater, in addition to a special Maui Night Dive, where you’ll be treated to unique animal and plant life that is only active at night.
