When in Maui, you want to eat while enjoying a great view, right? Well Sarento's On the Beach has the best view in South Maui and probably the best Sunset View for all of Maui. And their food is pretty good too.
THE FOOD
We've noticed their food has increased in quality lately. In the past, we'd noticed that the food was good but overpriced. Instead of dropping their price, we believe they've elevated their food quality and chef skills. Time will tell whether they can be consistent.
The photo on the right is their Osso Bucco over risotto. It was delicious. Above is their Kobe meatball pasta, which was pretty good.
THE RESTAURANT
Located directly on Keawakapu Beach in Wailea, South Maui, Sarento's has a top 5 Maui restaurant location. Make sure to get there well before Sunset with a reservation. The best tables get taken quickly, and the ones in the back are still good but not as good.
Located right next to the Five Palms, the view from Sarento's is better for the sunset and more expensive. Five Palms does have a better view of the whole beach though.
