Kaanapali Beach Hotel – Kaʻanapali, Maui

Kaʻanapali Beach Hotel Reviews

Kaanapali Beach Hotel Beach

My wife and I have been going to Maui every year for the past 30 years.  As we became more familiar with the island, we found our favorite spot — the Kaanapali Beach Hotel.  Almost every night, we would enjoy the sunset entertainment, drinks from the adjacent bar, and dinner from the adjacent café.  We, with our friends and family, thought it could not get any better.  The entertainment, in my opinion, was just as wonderful as the luaus.  The Aloha spirit was so wonderful to feel and hear.

Then the Kaanapali Beach Hotel changed owners, or their mission changed and an upscale, snooty restaurant took the place of all we enjoyed.  Now, you meet up with pretentious hostesses that left you with the impression that all they cared about was how much money they could get from you at dinner in order to be able to enjoy the entertainment.  We have been left with no evening enjoyment of the Aloha spirit which is the purpose of this email.  Do you know if the local music and hula families, schools, and entertainers (that came to the Kaanapali Beach Hotel) have gravitated to some other location?  We sure hope s

We have stayed there 5 times and are looking forward to returning in May 2022. If you want to experience the “real” Hawaii, this is the place. The accommodations are very nice, and the staff is excellent. The location can’t be beat, located close to Whalers Village and loads of great restaurants and historical Lahaina. Try it you are sure to become another KBH enthusiast.

We stayed at the Kaʻanapali Beach Hotel on our last visit to Maui (Oct 2019) for 10 days…
This is an older hotel but we had a wonderful time. It’s small enough to get personal service but large enough to have our privacy too.

The grounds are beautiful & well kept…The bar was great ….We really loved Dale, one of the bartenders… He made some killer drinks & served them with smiles & jokes…

The rooms were nice but nothing fancy… If you want a modern place with room service this won’t be the place for you… But they were clean & well maintained…

My favorite thing about KBH is the pure island feel about it… I took some of their free classes which promote the island life…It was a lot of fun.

We listened to some wonderful music & watched the dancers…

Everyone that works there was so nice & knowledgable …. Whatever we needed someone was always there to help us…

The best place to stay in Maui is The Kaanapali Beach Hotel! We’ve stayed there the last 2 times we’ve visited, the most recent was this past March.

The staff is great! They treat you like family and always have smiles on their faces.
The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. There are 4 of us in the family, 2 adults, and 2 teenagers, and we have plenty of room for all of us and our bags.

In the past, we have taken advantage of the complimentary ukulele lessons, lei making, and pineapple cutting demonstrations. The Hula show each night is wonderful and the food in the restaurants is delicious. Both times we visited we attended the Welcome Breakfast and learned something new each time!

The location is excellent! Next to the Black Rock for snorkeling and a quick walk to Whaler’s Village for terrific shopping! A quick bus ride gets you into historic Lahaina where you can shop, surf, see the sights, and more.

We’ve taken a snorkeling tour with Trilogy and you get to board on the beach right in front of the hotel.

I recommend The Kaʻanapali Beach Hotel to everyone and wouldn’t stay anywhere else!! I can’t wait to go back.
