She uses a high-powered off-camera electronic flash which allows a very high level of creative freedom in bright and changing light conditions. Natalie can offset and balance the bright sunlight just prior to sunset as well as move back and use some very cool telephoto effects that require external lighting. Many couples and ministers prefer this setup so the photographer does not disrupt the wedding ceremony trying to get close enough for an on-camera flash unit to register. She can be a mile away and still make a perfectly exposed image.
