Hawaii Web Group LLC and its partners are looking for some bright people to help us share Maui with the world! Our little company does big things for Hawaii businesses, including promotion on our web properties:
- In 2017, Hawaii Web Group websites had 2.1 million unique visitors.
- In 2017, with Twitter, Instagram and Facebook alone we enjoyed 60 million impressions and 2.6 million interactions.
We are looking for 2-3 hard working people interested in furthering their knowledge among a tech savvy group in a professional environment. There are 3 open positions, but if you have skills in multiple areas, and you have the time available, we may be only looking for 1-2.
Graphic Designer
Basic Duties:
- Image manipulation for blogs, social media posts, and websites
- Infographic and graphic components designed and realized
Required Skills:
- Photoshop
- Creativity
- Must be trustworthy, hard working, open-minded, punctual, and professional
- Bonus: Skills in Lightroom & Illustrator (though not necessary)
Web Designer
Basic Duties:
- Inserting copy and images into static websites
- Making updates to websites
Required Skills:
- HTML
- CSS
- Some PHP
- WordPress
- Some Javascript
- Must be trustworthy, hard working, open-minded, punctual, and professional
- Bonus: Skills with animation
Videographer/Editor/Social
Basic Duties:
- Shooting video
- Editing footage into small finished videos (mostly for web use)
- Upload to social media with accurate copy, tags, etc…
Required Skills:
- Quality camera gear
- Your preferred video editing software
- Must be trustworthy, hard working, open-minded, punctual, and professional
- Some writing skills for social media
Location:
The Hawaii Web Group office in the heart of Makawao Town.
Maui Internship Details:
- This is an unpaid internship.
- Depending on your skills and the timing of your internship, we may have an apartment in Haiku available for you to stay at no charge.
- Length of internship: at least 2 months.
- Must commit to working at least 25 hours per week.
- Having your own laptop is recommended but not necessary. (We have large external monitors and 1 extra new iMac)
- Potential for full hiring (dependent on our current needs and your performance.)
- PERKS: We work largely with the travel/tourism industry, and there are opportunities for some fun experiences.
