Maui Chef’s Table- Friday and Saturday Nights– Come experience the “Maui Chef’s Table” culinary adventure on the grounds of Maui Tropical Plantation on Fridays and Saturdays. Please check their calendar for dates and tickets.

Island Art Party– With a paint brush in one hand and a glass of wine in the other, you will have no problem finding your inner artist here!  Please check their calendar for dates and times.  On the third Tuesday of each month, Island Art Party brings its awesome art parties to The Maui Brewing Co. in Kihei. Come paint a beautiful painting and enjoy happy hour pricing in the tasting room all night! Only $39.00 and it sells out quick so book early!

WAILUKU FIRST FRIDAY:  Live music, ono grinds, shopping and family fun entertainment on Wailuku’s historic Market Street!

NEW YEAR’S MAHERMAGEDDON- BILL MAHER, DAVID SPADE, & JEFF ROSS:  Bill Maher returns for his fifth annual New Year’s Day stand-up comedy show and this year he’s bringing some friends – David Spade and Jeff Ross!

RETURNING TO OUR ROOTS – DOCUMENTARY SCREENINGS:  The County of Maui Mayor’s Office of Economic Development, Maui County Film Office, and Pacific Islanders in Communications are proud to present, Returning to Our Roots, a screening of two locally produced films: The Roots of ‘Ulu (John Antonelli) and Sons of Halawa (Matt Yamashita)

G.LOVE LIVE IN CONCERT:  Check out the ever smooth sounds of G.Love. Famed Maui man Andrew Corradini will be opening the show.

KURT MUROKI & FRIENDS:  Originally from Maui, Kurt Muroki was the first bassist to win the Honolulu Symphony’s Young Artist competition.  Muroki will be joined by Joel Smirnoff (viola), Peter Wiley (cello), Joon Yoon (piano), and Carmit Zori (violin).

LAHAINA SECOND FRIDAY:  Live music, ono grinds, shopping and family fun entertainment on Lahaina’s famous Front Street!

PI’ILANI ARIAS CD RELEASE CONCERT:  MyDaze Entertainment announces the CD release party for Maui boy, Pi‘ilani Arias, and his first solo CD, “Dash-A.”  With ten originals and two covers, his music will move and groove you all night long.

STARRY NIGHT CINEMA: SKI & SURF:  Join us for a double film night under the stars showcasing amazing athletes from sea to mountain top on the big screen! Come early for pre show entertainment by Lily Meola and Tom Conway plus prize giveaways!  Showing Chasing Shadows and View from a Blue Moon.  Free admission.

CHALLENGING GLOBAL IMPACTS OF THE AGROCHEMICAL INDUSTRY: FOOD JUSTICE SUMMIT 2016:  Advocates from Hawai`i and around the world will travel across the islands to weave together a story of how our local struggles are connected, share inspiring stories of grassroots victories from around the earth, and explore how the world movement can grow (together) to transform the food system.  Free admission.

NEW SHANGHAI CIRCUS:  China’s most daring acrobats, jugglers, balance artists, and contortionists return to Maui for the year’s grandest family spectacular. These highly skilled, rigorously trained and multi-talented acrobats will enthrall you as they bend and twist with graceful movements to form living sculptures.  Performances also available on January 19th.

OUTSTANDING IN THE FIELD AT MAUI TROPICAL PLANTATION:  This January “Outstanding in the Field” will set the table at one of Maui Tropical Plantation’s stunning farm sites, with chef Jeff Scheer of Mill House. We can’t wait to taste the incredible bounty that Maui has to offer.

LES BALLETS TROCKADERO DE MONTE CARLO:  Now in their 40th year, the all-male “Trocks” return to the MACC with wry parodies of classical ballet. Theirs is an inspiring blend of knowledge of dance, impeccable comic approach, and the astounding fact that men can, indeed, dance en pointe without falling flat on their faces.

KIHEI FORTH FRIDAY:  Live music, ono grinds, shopping and family fun entertainment at Kihei’s Azeka Shopping Center!

JIM MESSINA & HIS BAND:  Lazar Bear is proud to announce that Jim Messina with his band will be playing a three-island tour in Hawaii. As one half of Loggins & Messina, cofounder of the country-rock band, Poco, and member and key contributor to Buffalo Springfield, Jim Messina has left an indelible footprint on popular music.

AN EVENING WITH THE DAVID NELSON BAND:    This band has a broad musical palette that spans the “almost acoustic” style that Nelson played with Jerry Garcia through roots rock n’ roll and country-rock to full-blown psychedelic, jazz-tinged space jams.

HAWAIIAN ISLANDS LAND TRUST CELEBRATING 15 YEARS:  Join us for a celebration under the stars at Old Lāhaina Lū‘au. Show your love for protecting Hawai‘i’s precious places! This year, Grammy award-winning as well as a multiple Nā Hōkū Hanohano award winner, John Cruz will be headlining.
HAPA PERFORMING AT MELELANA:  Melelana is proud to be featuring HAPA! (Barry Flanagan and Kapono Na’ili’ili) Pre show entertainment by Jamie Lawrence. Complimentary wine & appetizer reception begins at 5:30PM, HAPA performs at 6:30PM. Complimentary valet parking also provided.

JUDY’S GANG: LOVE 2 DANCE:  Join Judy Ridolfino and Judy’s Gang in the fun as they Love 2 Dance.  Tap and jazz dancers ages 3 to infinity will sparkle and shine as they are Dancing on the Ceiling to the Love Shack doing the Neutron Dance as they Dance to the Music.

MAUI POPS ORCHESTRA – BROADWAY DIVA POPS:  Broadway Diva Pops is Maui Pops Orchestra’s annual Broadway spectacular, this year featuring soloists Julia Murney and Emily Rozek, with guest conductor, Randall Fleischer.

 

January 26

CHICAGO:  Chicago’s extraordinary career of “rock and roll with horns” landed the band at # 13 on Billboard’s list of the Top 100 Artists of All Time. With 21 Top 10 singles, 5 consecutive #1 albums, and 11 #1 singles, Chicago is the first American band to chart Top 40 albums in five decades.  Come jam to some classic music!

January 29

LAHAINA FIFTH FRIDAY:  Live music, ono grinds, shopping and family fun entertainment in Lana’i City’s Dole Park!    Adults – $60,  Children – $50.   Package includes a round-trip ferry ride between Lahaina Harbor and Manele Harbor, round-trip ground transportation between Manele Harbor and Lanai City, and an event “passport” for free prize drawings.

January 30

UB40 REUNITED:  As consummate live performers with triumphant gigs this year all over the globe, Ali, Mickey, and Astro recently turned their attention to the studio and a new album, Silhouette—an inspired mix of freshly minted new songs and sparkling, reggae-fied cover versions of classics by the Beatles, Bob Dylan, the Chi-Lites and others.

RUN AND WALK FOR THE WHALES:  Pacific Whale Foundation’s annual Run & Walk for the Whales is one of Maui’s largest run and walking events. Participants can choose to do a half marathon, 10K run, 5K run, or 2.5 mile walk.

ISLAND ART PARTY- PAINT A SURFBOARD:  ‘Maui Sunset’ Paint a beautiful Maui sunset on a wood surboard plaque. Create your own Made-on-Maui gift!

LAS CAFETERAS:  With a foundation in traditional Son Jarocho sounds, Las Cafeteras add Afro-Caribbean marimbol and cajón, poetry in English and Spanglish, and instruments like jarana, requite, a donkey jawbone, and a wooden platform called the Tarima, this famed LA-based band is sure to get you dancing!
